Lauren Luke's (Panacea81) Make Up Brush Set

Hello there ladies!

Recently I have bought a make up brush set from a YouTube beauty guru (Panacea81) called Lauren Luke. She is a really nice person and does fantastic work with make up! She is a really bubbly person, which I like. She does really good make up looks to!
You can check out her YouTube channel here!

I took another splurge and bought her set of brushes. They just looked really good and on her Facebook page, people have been saying really good things about it. I felt like buying some really good brushes!

I am so glad I bought these brushes. I'm really happy with them. They are amazing quality for the price! The set of 8 brushes cost £33.75 (excluding postage cost).
However, you can also buy the brushes individually.

Below are photo's of all the brushes.

I love these brushes. You can already tell that they are excellent quality by holding them. The handles feel so solid and strong! The brush heads themselves are really soft to. The pink and black colour scheme is also cute. I still need to wash them before using them, but I love them already!
Another good thing is that you can learn how to use them to it's full potential when you watch her videos. She uses her own brushes for the looks that she does, so it gives you a pretty good idea on how you can use them nicely.

Here is a link to her online shop of where you can purchase the brushes if you wish to.

Hope you all enjoyed this little review.
If you have any questions about these brushes, please do comment below.

September 2012 Glossybox

It's that time of the month!
No, not THAT time. I know you know what I really mean.
My September Glossybox arrived a few days ago! In this blog post I will show you what I got in my box!

As you can tell, this month's box looks a little different. Very different. Not the usual lovely, baby pink colour, but a very nice baby green with pink and white decorations. Looks cute.
It's a limited edition box and it's to celebrate "this month's rising stars". Oooo, sounds glamourous!

Here are the products I got:

Lady Gaga
Fame Fragrance

Product says: "An opulent, crushed floral fragrance that's black like the soul of fame but transparent once airborne."

I was a little bit surprised when I smelt this perfume. I wasn't exactly sure what I was expecting but I tried it and it smells really nice! It's a small sample but more than enough to try out and figure out if you like it or not. The sample is a small spray bottle, which I like.
I really like the smell of this. It has a sweet scent to it and slightly floral to. I like sweet scents in perfumes so that's probably why I like it.

Rodial
Glamoxy Snake Serum and 5 Minute Facial

Product says: "Glamoxy Snake Serum is a revolutionary product with instantly visible results, helping to reduce the appearances of frown lines and wrinkles. 5 Minute Facial is a triple action resurfacing gommage clay mask."

When receiving this in the envelope, it was nice that they gave 2 samples of each. Generous. However, my first impression wasn't too good. Only because I was "judging the book by its cover" so to speak. The snakes on the product wasn't very appealing to me. Not sure if I will be using this. It's probably a really good product anyways...is it? Let me know if you have tried some!

Balance Me
Wonder Eye Cream

Product says: "A triple action cream designed to soothe tired eyes, smooth away dark shadows and reduce the appearance of fine lines."

Eye cream. I don't use an eye cream. However, this is a nice sized sample. Very cutely sized. The smell of this cream is very light and fresh.

Body Shop
Vitamin E Moisture Cream

Product says: "This bestselling daily moisturiser hydrates skin, leaving it feeling soft and smooth."

This is a very generously sized sample. A little pot. It has a normal, general cream smell. Moisture creams are always handy to have. So this is good!

L'Oreal Professional
Techni Art Full Volume Extra Mousse

Product says: "Create big boudoir hair and overall volume without weighing the hair down. Also try Techni Art Liss Control, luxury sample included."

As we all know, L'Oreal is a very well known brand. For some reason, I have never really noticed their hair products. Just been noticing their make up range. With that in mind, it should be really good to try these out! Once again, I think these are really good samples. And with that extra sample included, it's a bonus!

Overall Impression Of This Month's Box:

This month's box is pretty good. There is a nice variety of products here and very good sized samples to. I got more than 5 products in this box! Even though the L'Oreal Liss Control was an added one, it still counts as another product. That's a nice little surprise.
Can't wait till they come out with a purple themed box. Only because it's my favourite colour :)

Thank you for reading ladies!

MUA Eye Primer VS e.l.f Cosmetics Eye Primer

Hey there!
How is everyone doing? Having a good week?
I have a day off today, so I thought I would take advantage of some free time and do some blogging!

This post will be about two eye lid primers that are very well known and very affordable! Therefore, for this reason I thought it would be a good idea to actually compare both of them!

e.l.f Cosmetics eyelid primer in sheer retails for £1.50, from their Essentials line, on their online store and the MUA eyelid primer retails for £2.50 on their online store.
The e.l.f Cosmetics eyelid primers do come in different shades, but I have the one in sheer because it's the most natural one.
The MUA eyelids primers only have the one shade. Which is fine, because eye lid primers are meant to bring out the colour of your eye shadows and make it last longer on your lids.
If you wish to also have a bit of a high lighted colour on your eye lids, then the e.l.f Cosmetics eye lid primers would be good because they have different shades of primers.

Ok, lets get started on the actual product!

They both have similar packaging. The applicators are both sponge like tips which is ideal and makes it easy to put it on your lids and you can control how much product you're putting on.

Both primers have a liquid substance. The difference here is that the MUA Primer has a more creamier substance which you do notice when it is applied on your lids.

When I finish applying the MUA Primer on my lid, you can feel it on you. However, with the e.l.f Primer, it goes on easier and blends in really well. It doesn't feel heavy on the lids or anything like that.
Another thing that I have noticed is that the MUA Primer creases a little bit, but I just rub it in again then apply the eye shadow. When applying the eye shadow, it's sometimes a little bit tough because of the "layer" of the creamy substance.
When the e.l.f Primer is applied, the skin of the eye lid is really smooth.

In terms of how long each of them makes eye shadow last on your lids, I would say they both have pretty good lasting power! But, I would say that the MUA Primer slightly lasts longer. More than 5 hours I would say. I would wear it to work and my eye shadow would still be on when I come home. I think that is due to the strong creamy substance.

I would choose to repurchase the MUA Primer because I feel it definitely helps to make my eye shadow last a really long time on my lids and that's what I want in a primer. The primers are only £1 apart in price. However, they are both good.

Hope you enjoyed the little comparison and found it a bit helpful. If you have any questions about these two products. Feel free to comment below.

Keep well ladies!

A Quick Hello and Eye Brows!

Hey there everyone!

This is just going to be a quick post to say Hi and a little catch up!
I also want to apologize for not blogging much lately but I promise there will be some great posts coming soon.

I have just been busy with work and all and I was looking after my little niece all day yesterday. She is SO cute! Love her to bits!
It was the first time I had to look after her the whole day by myself. So I'm quite proud! :D

Just a quick topic that I want to bring up!

Eye brows!

How did you ladies begin to start tweezing or changing the shape of your eye brows?
I am 20 years young now and have never tweezed or done anything to my eye brows. I don't even put make up on them or line them or anything like that.

This is a recent photo of me that I took about 2 weeks back. If you look closely you can see the shape of my eye brows. The reason that I have never wanted to start tweezing them is that I'm scared of ruining the shape (resulting in looking different) and have never really felt the need to change them. I want to keep that shape and have been used to it. But I can always just trim it a little bit on top of the brow because I can see some extra hair there. Would a waxing them first be better? So that it sets a guideline?

So, ladies! My question to you is how did you go first start doing your eye brows?

Barry M - Magnetic Burgundy Review

Hey! I am so excited to show you guys this beauty by Barry M! I think it is such a different and unique concept thus making it original because I havn't seen any other nail polishes do this!

So, when I was in Superdrug yesterday, I also picked myself one of these. I saw an advert for these in a recent issue of Cosmopolitan magazine and was intriqued by the idea of using this magnetic effect to create a different nail design! So ofcourse, I had to buy one and try it out.
Boy, was I glad i did!

Below is a picture of how it looks:

I tend to get amazed by little things but, how could you not be amazed at this?!
The Barry M Magnetic Burgundy comes in it's usual bottle with an extra cap with the magnetic plate (as shown in the picture on top). The bottle also has instructions on how you use it to make sure you get the effect shown.

All you do is:

- Apply base coat.
- Apply one coat of the Magnetic Burgundy and wait till it dries.
- Apply second coat and hover the magnetic plate over your nail for about 5 seconds.
- Don't forget to add a clear top coat after it has dried.

And... VOILA! Instant Nail Effect in seconds.
I love it!

The Burgundy colour itself is also very pretty and applies very well.
I think it's a very unique concept and super easy to do. Would definitely recommend this!
Now I'm tempted to buy the other shades...

Have any of you tried these? :)

Hope this review was helpful. I also bought another Barry M nail varnish. Another effect one. Will do a separate post on that one.

New Facial Skin Care Routine

Greetings Lovely People!

Ok ok, I will admit that I am so lazy when it comes to sticking to a facial skin care routine. Sometimes I would come up with a routine and just struggle to stick to it!
But now, I am determined to stick to it because I know it is very important to take care of your skin. Especially since I wear make up, it's good to keep your skin moisturised.

Today I went to Superdrug and bought some goodies! Bought 2 more items to complete my skin care routine! It's so easy to get carried away with buying things in that place!

So, I decided to stick with the Johnson's range. I have already been using the facial cleansing wipes, to remove my make up at night, and I also have been the Daily Essentials hydrating day cream every morning before applying my make up.
So, that has been the only skin care routine that I have been regularly keeping up with. But, I wanted a face wash also.

Facial Skin Care Routine:

Johnson's Face Care Refreshing Gel Wash (£3.29)

I plan on using this Gel Wash every morning after brushing my teeth and at night after I have taken off my make up with the Johnson's Night Facial Wipes.

Johnson's Face Care Day and Night Creams (£4.05)

I use the day cream in the day time before applying make up or even when not wearing make up. The night cream I will, at night, after I have washed my face with the Johnson's Gel Wash.

Johnson's Face Care Night Cleasing Wipes (£3.05)

I usually use cleansing wipes at night because I use them to remove my make up. They also have day cleansing wipes.

*

I will stick to this routine for now. I have realised that there isn't any exfoliators or anything like that. I will find some soon. But for now, this is what I shall be using.

Comment below and tell me your skin care routine or give me advice on which products are good to use. Or advice on picking a skin care routine for your face.

Thank you for reading!
